Trucks Jammed Carrefour in China (photo)

with one comment

I collected this photo from QQ (China’s most popular IM software).

I cannot verify the authenticity of this photo.

This photo may not relate to the anti-Carrefour activities in China at present.

The Chinese words in the photo don’t represent my opinions. The words had been embed in the photo the first time I saw it.

I don’t support any anti-France activities at present in China.

Install old extension in your new firefox

leave a comment »

Persuing the latest firefox or swiftfox without it’s rich extensions (add-ons) means nothing for me at all. There are some web browsers which are faster then firefox, but I am sticky with firefox because it’s convenient extensions, which I think is firefox’s essential competence.
Most extensions don’t upgrad as fast as firefox, so you may be told that the extensions/ add-ons you want are not compatible with you new version of firefox (e.g. Firefox 3 beta 5, Firefox 3 beta 4, or swiftfox using the same core). Here’s some tricks help you install such extensions in you ff.
1. Get the xpi file
At presnet, mozilla add-ons web site would check your firefox version and tell you that ‘This add-on is for older versions of Firefox’ . In the your add-on download page, Click ‘View‘ on your firefox browser menu, ‘Page Source‘, Ctrl + F find the xpi file, you may find something like this,/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/26041/foxyproxy-2.7.2-fx.xpi‘, so your extension download address is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/26041/foxyproxy-2.7.2-fx.xpi
2. Install xpi file
Here‘s two instructions help you get the extensions in your ff.
If the two methods don’t help, try this add on which helps you fix the compatity problems. ( I didn’t try this cause the two method above work for me. And it seems paradoxical that you have to install an add-on to help you install add-ons.)
